Legacy: Vishwaksen stars in a political drama

After facing back-to-back setbacks, Vishwaksen is gearing up for a strong comeback with two new films. In 2026, he will be seen in an entertainer titled “Funky.” Alongside it, he is also taking on a politically charged drama. Titled “Legacy,” the film is being directed by Sai Kiran Daida.

The makers unveiled an intense and dark teaser on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026, setting the tone for a gritty narrative.

The political drama is presented as a character-driven study of Siddharth, a reluctant young man burdened with the legacy of his highly influential politician father. In a striking introduction, Vishwaksen’s character is shown visiting his late father’s memorial, where he shockingly urinates on it and sarcastically wishes, “Happy New Year,” underlining his rebellion and inner conflict.

Govind Vasantha of 96 fame is composing the music, while Ekta Rathod plays the female lead.
