The craze surrounding Rajamouli’s patriotic period drama ‘RRR’ featuring NTR and Rajamouli as the freedom warriors has reached to peak. After the makers have announced the new release date as October 13 and seeing the resurgence of the theatrical business with films like ‘Krack’, ‘Master’ and ‘Uppena’, distributors are placing big money on this biggie.

Now, the Tamil film industry’s biggest production house Lyca Productions is said to have snapped up the theatrical rights of the ‘RRR’ by paying a record amount.

Rajamouli’s previous movies ‘Eega’ and ‘Baahubali 1 & 2’ had a great run in Tamilnadu. In fact, ‘Baahubali 2’ is one of the all-time highest-grossing movies in Tamilnadu.

No wonder that Lyca paid such a huge amount to bag the rights of ‘RRR’ to distribute it in Tamilnadu.
