Mahesh Babu heads to Georgia for Varanasi shoot

The shooting of director S. S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Varanasi” has now moved out of Hyderabad, with the next schedule set to take place in Georgia.
Headlined by Mahesh Babu, the film features Priyanka Chopra in the role of Mandarin. Mahesh Babu was spotted at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday as he departed to join the Georgia schedule.
Interestingly, the upcoming leg in Georgia is said to cover portions related to mythical backdrop. The globe-trotting project has already completed key sequences in Kenya featuring Mahesh Babu. Touted to be a high-budget adventure thriller blending elements of the Ramayana with time travel, the film is being mounted on a massive scale for global audiences.
After wrapping up the Georgia schedule, the team is expected to head to several more international locations to film crucial scenes.
“Varanasi” is slated for a grand worldwide release on April 7, 2027.
