Mahesh Babu to limit the use of body doubles for SSMB29!

Mahesh Babu and director S.S. Rajamouli’s much-awaited magnum opus, #SSMB29, is progressing steadily, albeit without much hungama. Rajamouli has been filming key portions in Hyderabad, resuming shoot schedules with short breaks in between.

The team is now preparing to shoot a major action sequence—touted to be one of the most extravagant ever attempted in Indian cinema. With a grand scale in terms of budget, vision, and stunt choreography, this sequence is expected to be a major highlight of the film.

True to Rajamouli’s style, Mahesh Babu will be performing most of the stunts himself. The director is known for pushing his lead actors to take on physically demanding scenes, as seen with Prabhas in Baahubali and NTR and Ram Charan in RRR. Mahesh is following suit and is ready to take on some high-risk action with minimal reliance on body doubles.

While some extreme stunts may still require a double, the use will be limited, ensuring that Mahesh Babu is front and center in the film’s most thrilling moments.

Touted as a globe-trotting action adventure, #SSMB29 features Priyanka Chopra as the female lead and will also include international actors in key roles. The film is being produced by KL Narayana, with music composed by M.M. Keeravani.
