Mahesh Babu to ring in 2026 abroad

Superstar Mahesh Babu is known for spending quality time with his family while exploring new international destinations and indulging in luxury experiences abroad. Continuing his yearly tradition, the actor has once again chosen an overseas getaway to welcome the New Year.

To celebrate December 31 and usher in 2026, Mahesh Babu left Hyderabad today along with his wife Namrata, son Gautam, and daughter Sitara. The family was spotted heading out for their New Year vacation.

The superstar is expected to return to Hyderabad next month, after which he will resume the shoot of SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film “Varanasi.” Touted as a globe-trotting adventure drama, the film is slated for a 2027 release. Production has been progressing at a brisk pace, with short breaks between schedules.

“Varanasi” features Priyanka Chopra as the female lead and uniquely blends elements of the Ramayana with time travel. Mahesh Babu will be seen in a dual role, portraying Rudra as well as Lord Rama.
