Vijay won’t attend ‘Jana Nayagan’ promotional event ahead of release

Vijay has never been known for aggressive film promotions. Throughout his career, he largely avoided promotional campaigns, occasionally attending a single pre-release event while letting his immense fan following drive his films to strong openings. Now, his final film, Jana Nayagan, is gearing up for a theatrical release on July 23.

With just a few days left for release, there has been little promotional activity, and there are no plans to hold a pre-release event.

According to industry sources, Vijay will not make any public appearances for the film. Since entering politics, he has reportedly chosen to stay away from movie-related promotional events, and Jana Nayagan is no exception.

Interestingly, the makers have also not involved the film’s leading lady, Pooja Hegde, in promotional activities. As a result, the film is expected to rely entirely on Vijay’s massive popularity and fan base to generate a strong opening at the box office.

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is said to be based on the Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari. The film is produced by KVN Productions.
