Malaika Arora has once again spoken her mind, addressing criticism over performing dance numbers in her 50s and making it clear that she has no intention of slowing down, or apologising.

Calling dance a powerful form of self-expression, the actress said she finds it deeply empowering and hopes her journey inspires women to embrace confidence at every stage of life.

Speaking on The Namrata Zakaria Show, Malaika questioned the mindset behind age-shaming. “Why should I tone it down or feel apologetic?” she said, adding that trolling and unsolicited opinions have become part of the public discourse.

The actress also reflected on how grateful she feels to continue doing what she loves. “At 50, I feel blessed that my body allows me to dance the way I do. It tells me I must be doing something right,” she shared.

Calling her work liberating, Malaika said dancing gives her immense confidence. She firmly believes that item songs have no expiry date and that actresses in their 50s can perform with the same grace and sizzle.
