Manchu Lakshmi declines to speak after ED questioning
Actress Lakshmi Manchu declined to speak to waiting reporters as she stepped out of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office on Wednesday after several hours of questioning in connection with the ongoing betting apps endorsement case.
Wearing sunglasses, she simply said, “Matladatledu andi” (“I will not speak now”) before leaving.
Manchu Lakshmi is the fourth celebrity to appear before ED officials in this case, following Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and Prakash Raj.
In total, 29 celebrities have been served notices by the ED for allegedly promoting betting apps. Besides actors, some social media influencers will also have to appear before ED.
