Megastar Chiranjeevi is more than happy
This is truly a time of celebration for megastar Chiranjeevi. The veteran actor is experiencing one of the happiest phases of his life, as he has long cherished the wish of being blessed with a grandson.
Chiranjeevi has never hidden this desire. Two years ago, during a film-related event, he even mentioned publicly that he had jokingly advised his son Ram Charan to plan for a son next, as he already had a daughter. Chiranjeevi has five granddaughters so far, two each from his daughters and one from Ram Charan.
That long-held wish has now been fulfilled. Ram Charan and his wife Upasana recently welcomed twins, a baby girl and a baby boy. With this, Chiranjeevi is now the grandfather of six granddaughters and a grandson. The arrival of a male heir has brought him immense joy, as it means the Konidela surname and legacy will be carried forward.
While some may call this sentiment outdated, it has always been Chiranjeevi’s personal wish, especially since all his grandchildren until now were girls.
Adding to the joy, Chiranjeevi also delivered the biggest hit of his career last month with “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.” Clearly, 2026 has turned out to be an exceptionally rewarding year for him, both personally and professionally.
