The government of Telangana has taken a decision that is helpful to the Telugu film industry. No wonder that the industry’s stalwarts are praising Chief Minister KCR for this gesture.
Megastar Chiranjeevi on Saturday thanked CM KCR, for allowing theater owners to increase movie ticket prices in the state.
The government also put a cap on ticket prices – the maximum price in a single screen (AC) is Rs 150 and multiplexes Rs 250 plus taxes.
Chiranjeevi said CM KCR had taken this decision after meeting the industry representatives. He also thanked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and MP Santosh Kumar.
Meanwhile, the ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh have created controversy. The Andhra Pradesh state government drastically reduced ticket prices and also seized theaters in the state on the pretext of poor facilities.
