Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, known for his long-standing collaboration with his cousin SS Rajamouli, is set to score the music for the director’s highly anticipated film, SSMB29. Their partnership, which began with Rajamouli’s debut, continues with this globe-trotting adventure thriller— a genre the filmmaker is exploring for the first time.
Speaking about the project, Keeravani acknowledged the challenge ahead.
I’ve never worked on a film of this genre before. It’s a fresh concept in Indian cinema, demanding new sounds and an entirely different musical approach. I hope to rise to the occasion,” he shared.
Keeravani, who won an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu” from Rajamouli’s “RRR,” will also be composing for a Mahesh Babu starrer for the first time. Despite Mahesh Babu’s impressive career spanning 28 films, none have featured Keeravani’s music—making this collaboration a first.
