Gossip columns and social media have been buzzing with talk of a possible romance between Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush. Speculation grew stronger after Mrunal began following Dhanush’s sisters on Instagram, prompting many to believe there was more than just friendship between the two.
In a recent interview, Mrunal put the rumours to rest, stating that Dhanush is “just a friend” and nothing more. She also addressed the chatter around his presence at her film events, clarifying that she hadn’t invited him. She said his friends in the cast had.
While her remarks ended most of the speculation, Mrunal didn’t comment on why she suddenly started following Dhanush’s sisters.
Dhanush, who divorced Aishwarya after 18 years of marriage, has been seen at two of Mrunal’s events. Mrunal, on the other hand, has been single since her last breakup.

On the work front, Dhanush is currently busy with his upcoming Tamil projects, while Mrunal awaits the release of her next Telugu film Dacoit, co-starring Adivi Sesh.
