Producer Naga Vamsi has expressed his frustration with film websites and journalists, urging them to stop covering him and his movies. Without naming any specific media outlets, he demanded that they refrain from writing articles, reviews, or any coverage related to his films.
“Don’t write about me or my films. Don’t review them. Don’t publish anything about my movies. I know how to promote them myself,” he stated.
His remarks appear to be a response to a journalist who attributed the success of Mad 2 to the failure of other films rather than its own merits.
Additionally, Vamsi accused certain websites and YouTube channels of falsely reporting box office collections, alleging that such media practices are harming the film industry.
Naga Vamsi, who produced “Mad Square” under his Sithara Entertainments banner, emphasized that the film is not reliant on star power for its success.
“It’s not a big-star film where people would watch the sequel even if they didn’t like. Audiences are genuinely enjoying it. I have no issue with reviews, but why degrade a film when it is performing well?” he questioned.
He also stated that ticket prices for the film will return to regular rates starting today, as the increased prices were only applicable for the first weekend. Naga Vamsi further mentioned that distributors recovered their investment and reached a safe zone within just four days.
