Nagarjuna contributes 2 Cr to ANR college

Akkineni Nagarjuna extended support to education by donating Rs 2 crore to ANR College, Gudivada, to provide scholarships for deserving students. The contribution was announced on Wednesday as part of the institution’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Attending the event as the chief guest, Nagarjuna also inaugurated a newly constructed college building and paid tribute to his father, legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR). He recalled that ANR had donated Rs 1 lakh to the college in 1959, underlining the family’s long-standing association with the institution.
Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna said that although his father did not have the opportunity to pursue formal education, he deeply valued learning and worked throughout his life to create opportunities for others.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Naga Susheela, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, and Gudivada MLA Venigandla Ramu.
