Nagarjuna files a defamation case against Konda Surekha

Akkineni Nagarjuna has decided to fight against Telangana Congress minister Konda Surekha legally and not to keep silent. He filed a defamation case against Konda Surekha at a special judicial magistrate court in Nampally, Hyderabad.

While defending his and his family’s reputation, Nagarjuna mentioned that the accused minister had made deplorable remarks about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. He submitted Surekha’s speech.

He said that Surekha’s defamatory remarks have damaged the reputation of their family.

“The accused’s main purpose in spreading such false, libellous, and defamatory content was to tarnish the complainant (Nagarjuna) and his family image and reputation,” Nagarjuna’s lawyer stated in his court filing.

Nagarjuna appealed to the court to take cognizance of the case for offenses punishable under Section 356 of B.N.S. and punish the accused (Konda Surekha) as per law in the interest of justice and in the circumstances of the case.
