Given Nagarjuna’s friendship with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, there were rumors that the government changed the rule to help ‘Bangarraju’. “It was a baseless report. The government doesn’t change rules to help one person. To help the people during the Sankranthi festival, the govt made changes, not for my film,” he clarified.

Talking about the film, Nagarjuna said his son Naga Chaitanya would surprise everyone with his performance. “You will see a new angle in his acting style in this film,” he said.

The film is the sequel to 2006 blockbuster ‘Soggad Chinni Nayana’, which starred Nagarjuna in a dual role. “We have the sequel idea at the very beginning, but we waited this long for a proper script to get developed. It is an out-and-out entertainer, with over-the-top moments. The family audience will enjoy this during the festival time,” he added.
