While all the leading stars of the Telugu cinema industry are attempting pan-Indian projects, Nani plays his cards differently. He is chanting the pan-South India mantra.

His first pan-South India release is ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, which hits the theaters in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages simultaneously this Friday. He has been promoting the film in all south Indian states.

Nani thinks that this realistic approach gives better dividends to him. He doesn’t want to jump the bandwagon of ‘pan-Indian’ movies. ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ has two heroines, who are well-known in Kerala and Tamilnadu markets – Sai Pallavi and Madonna Sebastian.

Directed by Rahul Sankritian, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is partly a period drama.

If the film clicks, he will be releasing all his upcoming releases in south Indian languages. So, it is an important movie for him.
