The success of ‘Dasara’ not only boosted Nani’s confidence, but also increased the market value of his subsequent films. It was the first film in his career to gross more than Rs 100 crore.
He increased his pay slightly prior to this film. He is now said to be demanding a 20% raise. He has already entered the Rs 20 crore club (Telugu actors earning more than Rs 20 crore), and his graph is rising.
He announced his 30th film for new producer Mohan Cherukuri long before the release of ‘Dasara.’ He has also agreed to star in another film for producer DVV Danayya. This one will be directed by Vivek Athreya.
Nani’s increased pay will take effect following the completion of these projects. He will also charge an additional fee based on the final business for these signed projects.
