“Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale,” the much-publicized wedding documentary of actress Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, is once again in the headlines.

The documentary first faced legal problems from actor-producer Dhanush. He sued her for using the clippings of his production without his permission and the legal fight is underway.

Now, the Madras High Court served notices to Netflix and Tarc Studios following a copyright infringement petition filed by AP International, the production house behind the 2005 blockbuster “Chandramukhi,” starring Rajinikanth. The petition alleges that the documentary includes behind-the-scenes footage from Chandramukhi without obtaining proper permissions, despite prior legal warnings.

With two copyright cases pending, the documentary’s journey has taken a dramatic turn—from fairy tale to courtroom drama.

Currently, Nayanthara is acting alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in a film directed by Anil Ravipudi.
