“Bhagavanth Kesari” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna was a modest success. The theatrical run of the film is coming to an end. While the film was a huge success in the United States, it only made a small profit in domestic areas like Nizam, Uttarandhra, and Ceded areas. In other areas, it has either barely broken even or has yet to reach that point. Overall, the film is neither a flop nor a smash hit.
However, “Bhagavanth Kesari” has assisted Balakrishna in solidifying his market in recent times and has also gained a lot of good name, particularly among family audience crowds.
The budget for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next film is currently being planned. While director Bobby mentioned a huge budget exceeding Rs 150 Crore, our sources say producer Naga Vamsi asked him to be more realistic.
He warned him that theatrical revenues, as well as other revenue streams such as satellite rights, are declining for all films. Only OTT and Hindi dubbing rights are secure.
So, while Naga Vamsi and director Bobby claim it will be the most expensive film in Balakrishna’s career, there will be some budget cuts. Balakrishna’s pay for this film was reportedly significantly increased. He is quoting Rs 25 crore, a substantial increase of Rs 10 crore.
The film is likely to be launched later this week.
