Nithiin and Venky Kudumula collaborated on “Robinhood” following the success of their previous film, “Bheeshma.” However, the film’s release has now become problematic. The Christmas release was its first plan. Initially, the makers announced the release date as December 20, but later rescheduled it to December 25.
Now, they have changed the date, but they have not yet announced the postponement. The latest rumors suggest that the production house Mythri Movie Makers is looking at Sankranthi 2025 for its release. The Sankranthi festival has three big movies— Ram Chraan’s Game Changer, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj, and Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam—in competition. If Nithiin’s film joins the race, it becomes crowded.
Typically, three or four films compete during each Sankranthi festival season, and the inclusion of Nithiin’s “Robinhood” in the competition presents a significant challenge. Following the recent controversy surrounding Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” premiere incident and the subsequent arrest, the situation has undergone changes.

Producer Dil Raju has assumed the role of chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, effectively becoming a member of the current Congress government. Conversely, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appears to be dissatisfied with Mythri Movie Makers. Therefore, if this production house attempts to interfere with Dil Raju during the Sankranthi season, the production company is likely to encounter additional challenges.
Given this context, it’s unclear if the production company will actually schedule “Robinhood” for the Sankranthi 2025 season.
