Recent reports suggested that Bollywood actress Kiara Advani had been finalized to play the lead in a biopic based on the legendary actress Meena Kumari. It was widely speculated that this project would mark Kiara’s comeback after delivering her first child with husband Sidharth Malhotra.
However, filmmaker Siddharth P. Malhotra (not to be confused with Kiara’s husband Sidharth Malhotra) has now dismissed these claims, calling them purely speculative.
He clarified that the casting process for his upcoming biopic titled “Kamal Aur Meena” has not yet begun. While he acknowledged that Kiara is among the names being considered, he confirmed that no formal approach has been made to her.
Kiara Advani is currently on a break from acting during her pregnancy and is expected to return to work sometime in 2026 or early 2027.
