Director S.S. Rajamouli, known for his grand cinematic vision, is also a fan of video games. He follows several renowned game creators, including Japanese legend Hideo Kojima. In fact, Rajamouli shares a special bond with Kojima, along with his stepson Karthikeya.
Interestingly, both Rajamouli and Karthikeya have now made cameo appearances in Kojima’s upcoming game, “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.” Clips of their appearances have gone viral on social media, sparking widespread curiosity.
Why did Rajamouli agree to be part of a video game?
While there’s no official explanation, many speculate that the filmmaker is strategically expanding his global brand and digital presence. Given the international success of “Baahubali” and “RRR,” especially in Japan, the move could be a step toward deeper engagement with global pop culture audiences.
Rajamouli is currently preparing for the Japan release of his next big project, SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. The film’s shoot is expected to resume soon in Kenya.
