NTR-Neel’s Dragon: Delay in shooting, delay in release

Recently, NTR made public appearances in Japan and attended a film event in Hyderabad, showcasing his new look for “Dragon.” NTR drastically lost weight recently to have a lean and mean look for “Dragon,” being directed by Prashanth Neel.

The makers have not yet announced the title “Dragon,” but it is in consideration. Currently the makers are referring to it as just ‘#NTRNeel. NTR was to join the shooting of the film by now, but he could not do so due to the delay in the shooting of his maiden Bollywood movie, “War 2,” and his efforts to lose weight.

Due to this delay in production, the film will not be meeting the intended release date—January 9, 2026. Although Prashanth Neel began the shooting of the film with other actors, NTR needs to join the shooting. The film will be made on a much bigger scale than Neel’s previous blockbusters like “KGF 2” and “Salaar.”

Hence, Neel needs more time for the shooting as well as post-production. So, it is not possible for him to wrap up the entire work in the next eight months to meet the Sankranthi deadline.

The latest buzz is that “Dragon” is aiming for the “KGF 2” date—April 14. So, in all probability, the film will arrive in summer 2026.
