NTR was left disappointed with the outcome of his Bollywood debut, “War 2.” The film performed poorly in the Telugu states and the losses were substantial. Even in Hindi, the result was only marginally better.
Determined to bounce back, NTR is now focusing fully on his next project with director Prashanth Neel. Known as a “hit machine,” Neel enjoys a 100 percent success rate and is regarded as the closest to Rajamouli when it comes to delivering blockbusters.
The duo’s film, tentatively titled “Dragon,” had its shoot paused earlier this month to allow NTR to take part in “War 2” promotions. With that done, the team is preparing to resume production. According to sources, the next schedule will begin in early September on a specially erected set in Hyderabad.
“Dragon” features Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, although the makers have not officially announced her name yet. She is currently working on three major pan-Indian projects, including this one.
The film is an action drama set against a coastal backdrop and is expected to carry Prashanth Neel’s trademark action style.
