OG: Pawan Kalyan to avoid interviews and promotions

Pawan Kalyan has always preferred to stay away from media interviews and promotional activities for his films. With an immense fan following and unparalleled craze surrounding his films, there is rarely any need for him to engage in promotional interviews. However, he made an exception for his recent film “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” where he actively participated in interviews and gave soundbites to media outlets. The reason was the film’s prolonged production period of over four years and the financial troubles faced by the producer Rathnam.
Pawan Kalyan felt that doing interviews would provide some support to the producer and decided to break his own “no promotions” rule and went all out for “Hari Hara Veera Mallu”.
For “OG,” set to release on September 25, Pawan Kalyan will revert to his standard principle.
Apart from one or two common recorded video interviews, he will refrain from promotional activities and will only appear at the pre-release event. That will be the extent of his publicity efforts for this film.
“OG” is already riding massive hype, with fans eagerly awaiting its release to make it a blockbuster. Even among regular audiences, the buzz is extraordinary, leaving no need for additional promotional push.
The film is setting new benchmarks in pre-sales, especially in North America. Advance bookings in domestic Telugu states are scheduled to begin next Monday. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, “OG” is a gangster drama starring Priyanka Mohan as the main female lead.
