Oscars 2024: ‘Oppenheimer’ sweeps the main awards

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is the first blockbuster film in 20 years to win Best Picture at the Oscars. The Oscars 2024 were given out on Sunday.

The film “Oppenheimer” won seven awards, including best director for Christopher Nolan, best actor for Cillian Murphy, and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr.

The film also received awards for best cinematography, original score, and film editing.

Emma Stone won best actress for “Poor Things”. Jonathan Glazer’s “The Zone of Interest” won the Academy Award for Best International Feature.

The best original screenplay award went to Justine Triet and Arthur Harari for “Anatomy of a Fall”.
