Payal Ghosh, who did roles in Telugu films such as ‘Prayanam’ and ‘Oosaravalli’, has filed a rape complaint against Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The actress leveled sexual harassment charges against the filmmaker earlier. On Tuesday, she has filed a written complaint at Versova police station in Mumbai.
The actress’s lawyer Nitin Satpute told the media that Payal Ghosh will not leave the matter. “A written complaint has been lodged for the offense of rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of woman U/S 376, 354, 341, 342 of IPC,” he said.
Anurag Kashyap had denied her allegations.
Payal Ghosh earlier said that Tollywood is a safe industry than the Bollywood. She also said the Hindi film industry is filled with sexual predators.
