Peddi: Buchi Babu locks edit for first half

The shooting of Ram Charan’s upcoming film “Peddi” is progressing at a steady pace. Even as filming continues, director Buchi Babu Sana has been simultaneously working on post-production and editing.

The latest update is that Buchi Babu has locked the edited footage of the film’s first half. This means the entire portion leading up to the interval block has been finalized. The locked footage has already been handed over to music composer A R Rahman, who has begun composing the background score for the first half.

Meanwhile, the filming and editing work for the second half is currently underway. The team remains confident of meeting the production deadline and sticking to the announced March 27 release. However, the final release date will depend on multiple external factors, and the makers are said to be exploring alternate options if a change becomes unavoidable.

“Peddi” is a sports drama set in the Uttarandhra region. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead opposite Ram Charan, with A R Rahman scoring the music.
