‘Adipurush’ has demonstrated that Prabhas is a truly pan-Indian star who can entice crowds to the theatre with any genre. The film had a poor buzz two weeks before its release, but everything changed in the last week with the Tirupathi pre-release event.
Despite the fact that Prabhas did not promote the film more, it had a phenomenal opening. In India, the film grossed a stunning Rs 90 crore nett. In India, the total revenue from the Telugu and Hindi versions has surpassed Rs 110 crore (gross). The overseas collections must be included. Altogether, it is estimated to have touched Rs 140 crore gross worldwide on the first day.
In Nizam (Telangana), the film collected Rs 13.68 Cr (share) on the first day. The Andhra and Ceded share is expected to have in the range of Rs 20 crore.
So far, Prabhas is the only South Indian actor who has had three films gross more than Rs 100 crore on the opening day. ‘Baahubali 2’, ‘Saaho’, and ‘Adipurush’ all made more over Rs 100 crore on their opening day at the box office.
This demonstrates his star stamina.
