There were numerous reports about Prabhas’s Bollywood film in the direction of Siddharth Anand of ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’ fame. Mythri Movie Makers tried setting this project. In fact, Mythri Movie Makers has long attempted to produce a film starring Prabhas. Siddharth Anand expressed interest as well.
But now everything has changed. Siddharth Anand is in high demand in Bollywood after the record-breaking success of ‘Pathaan,’ and he has announced another film. Siddharth Anand is currently directing the action drama ‘Fighter,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
He has now signed on to direct “Tiger VS Pathaan,” a film starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Yash Raj Films will bankroll it. The production will begin in January 2014. As a result, Siddharth Anand will not be able to direct a Prabhas film until 2025.
Prabhas’s schedule is jam-packed with projects such as Project K, Maruthi’s Film, Salaar, and Spirit. As things currently stand, Prabhas and Siddharth Anand’s film will not be materialised anytime soon.
