As soon as news of Maruthi’s new film with Prabhas was out, the diehard fans of the star got agitated. They let out their anger on Twitter. The social media platform saw the hashtag #BoycottMaruthiFromTFI trending on top with thousands of tweets.
It was reported that director Maruthi would be directing a film with Prabhas in the lead role. Reports suggested that a formal launch is on the way on 25th August. But Prabhas’s fans are not happy with this piece of news.
They want Prabhas to continue working with successful directors, not budding filmmakers or flop directors.
Prabhas scored flops with ‘Saaho’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’, both directed by inexperienced filmmakers. Plus, Maruthi delivered two flops recently. So, they are dead against the idea of Prabhas teaming up with Maruthi. Hence the hashtag continued trending on Wednesday.
Maruthi, on the other hand, realized his mistakes after the flop of ‘Pakka Commercial’ and is now extra careful about the script.
