Prabhas in and as Adipurush, film announced

Prabhas will be seen as ‘Adipurush’. This will be his straight Hindi film. The makers have announced it as multi-lingual Pan-India film to be produced in Hindi and Telugu in 3D and will be dubbed into Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages

Titled ‘Adipurush’, the film will start rolling in 2021. Om Raut is directing the film. T Series is bankrolling on this mammoth project with a reported budget of Rs 500 crore. The film is said to be screen adaptation ‘of the Indian epic that revolves around the triumph of good over evil’.

In a statement, the makers have said that the film is based on a chapter on the most popular Indian epic, while the buzz is that it is based on Ramayana. And Prabhas is said to be playing Lord Rama. A top Bollywood star is likely to be playing the role of antagonist.

Prabhas said in a statement, “Every role comes with its own challenges but portraying a character like this comes with a tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love in our film.”

Prabhas will start shooting for this movie along with Nag Ashwin’s next. It is slated for the 2022 release.
