Prabhas to wrap ‘Fauji’ on a priority basis

Prabhas seems to have taken the disappointing result of “The Raja Saab” quite seriously. While the actor has faced setbacks in the past with films like “Adipurush” and “Radhe Shyam”, this horror drama appears to have impacted him more personally, as it was a project he chose despite advice from close friends and well-wishers.
Adding to the concern, the film’s poor performance in North India, reportedly the lowest collections of his career in the Hindi market, has affected his standing there. This setback is said to have prompted Prabhas to reassess his approach, becoming more cautious about film choices and release planning.
Having worked on three films simultaneously, the shooting of “The Raja Saab” stretched on for years and took over three and a half years to complete. This prolonged schedule has raised concerns among fans about his upcoming projects, particularly “Fauji”.
To address this, Prabhas has reportedly decided to complete director Hanu Raghavapudi’s “Fauji” on a priority basis and target a release later this year. Although he will continue shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit” alongside “Fauji”, the latter will be fast-tracked and wrapped up first.
“Fauji” is an alternate-fiction historical drama set in the pre-Independence era. Newcomer Imanvi plays the female lead opposite Prabhas. The film is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
