Prabhas’s Fauji pushed to December release window?

Prabhas’s upcoming period drama “Fauji” may not arrive during the Dasara 2026 season as widely expected. Though the makers haven’t officially announced a release date, industry buzz suggests the film could shift to December for a more advantageous release window.
Sources indicate that the delay is primarily due to extensive post-production work. With heavy reliance on visual effects to recreate the pre-Independence era, the team is said to be taking additional time to ensure high-quality output.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, “Fauji” is a fictional story inspired by historical events, including Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj. Prabhas reportedly plays a soldier associated with Bose’s army. Mounted on a grand scale, the film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
The film features newcomer Imanvi as the female lead. Insiders believe “Fauji” could mark a significant leap in Hanu Raghavapudi’s career, who previously impressed with “Sita Ramam.”
