Prabhas fans have a big reason to celebrate with the latest announcement from the makers of “Spirit.” The team officially revealed the film’s release date today through social media. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, “Spirit” is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on March 5, 2027, coinciding with the Ramzan festival.
Sharing the update on Instagram, Prabhas wrote, “#Spirit is set for a World release on March 5, 2027.”
The release date has been locked nearly 14 months in advance, reflecting the strong confidence of the makers. Shooting for the film is currently underway. Earlier, the first look poster of “Spirit” was unveiled on January 1, 2027, on the occasion of the New Year, and it received an overwhelming response.
“Spirit” is a crime drama that marks a major milestone in Prabhas’s career, as he will be seen playing a police officer for the first time. Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri makes her Telugu debut opposite Prabhas in this much-anticipated project.
The announcement comes as a relief for Prabhas fans who were disappointed with the outcome of “The Raja Saab,” directed by Maruthi, which released on January 9, 2026, during the Sankranthi season.
“Spirit” will release in eight languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. The film also features Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj, and Kanchana in key roles, with music composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
