Priyanka Chopra: Varanasi will be a career-defining film for me

Actress Priyanka Chopra is currently busy promoting her upcoming Hollywood film “The Bluff,” which is scheduled for release on February 25, 2026. Apart from playing the lead, she is also one of the producers of the swashbuckler action thriller directed by Frank E. Flowers.
During the promotions, Priyanka also opened up about her much-awaited Telugu debut, “Varanasi.” She described the project as a defining moment in her career.
“Varanasi is being directed by SS Rajamouli. He is one of the best we have in Indian cinema. It will be a career-defining movie for me,” she said.
The globe-trotting adventure drama, which blends mythology with action, is directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film features Mahesh Babu in a powerful dual role as Rudra and Lord Rama, while Priyanka plays the character Mandakini.
A recent shooting schedule has been wrapped up, and the team is reportedly heading for an international schedule soon. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
With “Varanasi” marking her entry into Telugu cinema under Rajamouli’s direction, Priyanka Chopra’s statement has already heightened expectations among fans.
