Director Puri Jagannadh and veteran screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad recently met in Hyderabad, sparking speculation about a possible collaboration. Photos from their meeting were shared on social media by Puri’s team, accompanied by a caption praising Vijayendra Prasad’s wisdom and clarity of thought as deeply inspiring.
Although no official announcement was made regarding a joint project, the meeting has set off buzz among fans and netizens. Many are now wondering if the two creative minds will team up for a film.
Puri Jagannadh is currently gearing up for his next directorial venture, which will star Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu. The project will be produced by Charmee Kaur.
Vijayendra Prasad, known for penning blockbusters like “Baahubali” and “RRR,” has previously expressed admiration for Puri Jagannadh’s work. In past interviews, he even mentioned that Puri is the one writer-director he feels envious of and offered to collaborate with him.
Puri’s team wrote: “Some moments stay etched in your heart forever…Spending time with legendary @vvprasadwrites Garu was one of those. His humility, wisdom, and clarity of thought were truly inspiring.”
Though Vijayendra Prasad frequently works with his son, director S.S. Rajamouli, and other leading filmmakers, he has not yet worked with Puri Jagannadh. If this meeting leads to a collaboration, it could mark a powerful new creative partnership in Telugu cinema.
