‘Pushpa’ is the third collaboration of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar after ‘Arya’ (blockbuster) and ‘Arya 2’. Expectations are high on this film as this is Sukumar’s immediate film after record-breaking hit ‘Rangasthalam’ and Allu Arjun’s next after ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’, which set all-time new records.

But the makers are in total confusion ever since it was launched for various reasons. The film’s shoot began in Kerala in January. Director Sukumar filmed some sequences on the character actors and junior stars. When he planned a lengthy schedule in Kerala in March, the lockdown was imposed. So, he canceled the schedule and dropped the idea of shooting the movie in Kerala due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Then Sukumar planned to shift the same schedule to Maredimilli in East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.

But Allu Arjun and producers have suggested him to erect a set in Hyderabad as it would allow them to shoot freely, not worrying about outside conditions. So, a village with a forest backdrop is being recreated in Annapurna Seven Acres. The sets are to be erected.

If this set work completes, Allu Arjun and heroine Rashmika will join resume the shoot. ‘Pushpa’ is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
