After having decent theatrical run, “Raakaasa” is now making waves globally on OTT. The Telugu entertainer has entered the Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English Films chart at No. 7, recording an impressive 1.2 million views worldwide during the tracking period from April 27 to May 3, 2026.
The film’s strong streaming debut reflects the momentum it built in theatres through positive word-of-mouth and family audience support. What started as a steadily growing theatrical success has now expanded into a film with notable international reach on Netflix.
Much like its theatrical performance, the OTT response appears to be driven by sustained audience engagement rather than initial hype alone. Viewers continue to connect with the film’s lighthearted humor, fantasy-driven storytelling and easy-going entertainment quotient.
One of the major highlights remains the comic chemistry between Sangeeth Shobhan and Getup Srinu, which had already become a crowd favorite in cinemas. Vennela Kishore’s energetic comic performance is also adding significantly to the film’s repeat-watch value among streaming audiences.
