Amid rumors that Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is aiming for Jan 12, 2022 release, here comes a response from the team of ‘Radha Shyam’. The Prabhas starrer Pan-Indian project had already locked January 14, 2022, as its release date. Now, the team reiterates the same date.
So, Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ is ready to fight with Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ if the latter decides to enter the Sankranthi race.
“The recent announcement of theatres re-opening has welcomed many release date announcements for other films and some were also postponed as a result of it but the makers of RadheShyam have decided to stick to the prior set date. The Prabhas-Pooja starrer film was slated to release on 14th January 2022, which is a big weekend down south, Pongal celebrations will be underway making it a very auspicious day for this film to release,” the makers said in a statement.
‘However, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is yet to begin the film’s promotions. Not a single song was released until now. Justin Prabhakaran has composed songs for the Telugu version.
Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film has been facing trolls. Fans are creating memes on the director calling him ‘Radha Cameroon’. Against this backdrop, the makers don’t want to postpone the film further. It has been in the making since September 2018.
The film also faced rumors about the tiff between Pooja Hegde and Prabhas.
