Rai Rai Raa Raa: Ram Charan’s mass swag, Rahman’s solid beats

The second single from “Peddi” is out, and it’s all about hero elevation. Titled “Rai Rai Raa Raa,” the track serves as the introduction song for Ram Charan’s character.
Set against the backdrop of a sugar factory, the visuals showcase Ram Charan dancing with factory workers and village children, giving it a rooted, earthy vibe. The choreography by Jani Master highlights his trademark energy and mass appeal. Charan looks rugged and effortlessly swag-filled, delivering sharp moves in his signature style.
Composed and sung by A. R. Rahman, the song carries his vintage touch: solid beats blended with contemporary instrumentation and programming. Rahman’s distinctive singing style adds an extra layer of authenticity. As is typical with many of his compositions, the track may take a little time to fully grow on listeners.
Lyricist Anantha Sriram pens lines that reflect the protagonist’s fearless attitude — someone who believes in making a grand entry and leaving a lasting mark. Interestingly, he maintains a consistent “ra” rhyme scheme throughout the song, adding a catchy lyrical hook.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi also features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in key roles.
With mass visuals and Rahman’s rhythmic punch, “Rai Rai Raa Raa” sets the tone for a high-energy entertainer.
