Rajamouli obliges Chiranjeevi’s request

Chiranjeevi and Rajamouli

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan wanted to act together in full-length roles for a long time. The father-son duo had shared screen space in ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Bruce Lee’ for a brief runtime. But for the first time, they have got an opportunity to act together in lengthy roles.

Ram Charan will play a crucial role in Chiranjeevi’s current movie titled ‘Acharya’, which has Koratala Siva’s direction. Charan’s role lasts nearly 30 to 45 minutes.

But Rajamouli initially did object to this combination as it would affect the craze surrounding his “RRR”, which is being promoted as the biggest multi-starrer – the coming together of NTR and Ram Charan – in Tollywood. Rajamouli’s objection was Chiranjeevi and Charan’s film should not be released before ‘RRR’.

Upon learning that Rajamouli has objections over Ram Charan sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi, the megastar himself called the director. “Yes, I called Rajamouli and informed that my wife dreamed that I should act with my son Charan. I don’t know whether we would get such clearly-defined roles in our careers again. So, I don’t want to miss this opportunity. When I told this to Rajamouli, he understood our intentions and gave his agreement,” Chiranjeevi revealed in the latest interview.

That is how ‘Acharya’ is gearing up for April 2021 release. ‘RRR’ will release after ‘Acharya’ hits the screens.
