The sudden rise of cases of COVID-19 in India has made many new films put a hold on production. Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala, and other states have seen a spike in cases in recent weeks (March 2021).

Considering his health condition, Superstar Rajinikanth has decided to postpone the shoot of his film again. He is acting in a film named ‘Annaatthe’. Siva is directing it. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project. Rajinikanth canceled the film’s shoot schedule in Hyderabad in December last year when some of the production crew members had tested positive for coronavirus.

The producers have planned to resume the shoot in Chennai later this week. But the rising cases in Tamil Nadu have made Rajinikanth postpone the shoot again.
