Superstar Rajinikanth’s recent films turned out to be colossal flops in the Telugu market. ‘Darbar’, ‘Petta’, and ‘Kaala’ had left the distributors in heavy losses. No wonder that no producer competes to bag the rights of his upcoming films. Rajinikanth has done a Tamil film titled, Annaatthe, which is scheduled for November 4 release.
The Tamil production house Sun Pictures has finally found a buyer. Asian Narang of ‘Love Story’ fame bought the rights as they are also producing Dhanush’s maiden Telugu film. ‘Annaatthe’ will now be dubbed into Telugu. It will release on November 4th simultaneously with the Tamil version.
‘Peddanna’ is the title under consideration.
Of late, Rajinikanth’s choice of scripts is not in tune with the tastes of the Telugu audiences. Hence, his films have lost the craze in Telugu.
‘Annaatthe’ is directed by Siva, and features Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, and Khusbhu as the female cast members.
