With premiere shows of “Peddi” set to begin across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 8 PM, excitement surrounding the film has reached its peak. Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor and the film’s team have extensively promoted the movie across major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, Vijayawada, Chennai and Bengaluru, helping generate impressive advance bookings and strong opening-day buzz.
However, one notable aspect was missing from the promotional campaign. Ram Charan and the team did not interact with the Hyderabad film media ahead of the release. A press meet that was scheduled for Wednesday was reportedly cancelled at the last minute.
According to industry buzz, Ram Charan is now expected to hold a media interaction after the film’s release and once audience response becomes clear. The actor is said to be highly confident about the film’s prospects and believes “Peddi” will earn appreciation for both its content and his performance.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, “Peddi” features music by AR Rahman and is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. At a time when the Telugu film industry has been going through a lean phase, many within the industry are hoping the film emerges as a major box-office success.
Despite temporary issues related to ticket bookings in certain national multiplex chains, the release is expected to proceed smoothly and register a strong opening across territories.
