Ranveer Singh faces FWICE ban after Don 3 fallout

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), one of Bollywood’s most influential industry bodies, has issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh.
The decision comes in response to a complaint filed by filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who reportedly approached the workers’ federation following Singh’s alleged last-minute exit from “Don 3”. The film had been officially announced well before the release of the blockbuster “Dhurandhar” franchise.
According to industry sources, FWICE reviewed the complaint and the circumstances surrounding the dispute before taking action. The directive effectively urges its members and affiliated workers to refrain from collaborating with the actor until the matter is resolved.
In an official statement, FWICE said, “Considering the conduct displayed towards the Federation and the stakeholders associated with the project, the office bearers of FWICE have resolved to issue a Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD) against Mr. Ranveer Singh.”
Ranveer Singh had been announced as the lead actor for the third installment of the iconic Don 3 franchise. However, reports suggest that he withdrew from the project shortly before production was scheduled to begin.
Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani reportedly informed FWICE that the project suffered pre-production losses of around Rs 45 crore following the actor’s exit.
Ranveer Singh, however, has maintained that FWICE is not the appropriate forum to adjudicate the matter, arguing that the dispute concerns contractual obligations and agreements between the parties involved.
