Rashmika Mandanna and Sudheer Babu lead this weekend’s lineup

November kicks off with a packed first weekend at the Telugu box office, as nearly half a dozen films compete for audience attention.

Among them, “The Girlfriend” stands out, banking heavily on Rashmika Mandanna’s star power.

Marketed as a fresh take on modern love, the film could attract strong youth crowds if positive word-of-mouth spreads. Despite limited pre-release buzz, trade circles believe it has the potential to perform well with favorable reviews. “The Girlfriend” is directed by Rahul Ravindran and presented by Allu Aravind.

Sudheer Babu’s “Jatadhara” is another key release this weekend. While the pre-release hype is modest, the team is optimistic that its mythological theme resonates with audiences. Currently such films are rending at the box office. The film also marks Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’s Telugu debut, adding extra appeal.

Meanwhile, Thiruveer’s “The Great Pre-Wedding Show” joins the race, with the makers organizing early premiere screenings to generate early word-of-mouth. The Tamil-dubbed “Aryan,” starring Vishnu Vishal, also hits screens this week—arriving a week after its Tamil release.

Additionally, Pranav Mohanlal’s Malayalam hit “Diés Iraé” is releasing in Telugu-dubbed form on November 7, while small-scale films like “Premisthunna” and “Krishna Leela” round out the lineup.

With such a diverse slate, this weekend promises to test audience preferences and box office strength across genres.
