Rashmika Mandanna and Dhanush recently shared screen space for the first time in “Kuberaa.” A weekend after the film’s release, Rashmika took to Instagram to post a selfie with the multiple National Award-winning actor, mentioning that it was the only photo she had managed to take with him during the shoot.
Calling Dhanush “a gem of a person,” Rashmika wrote a heartfelt note praising his humility and the respectful way he treated everyone on set. She expressed how deeply she was moved by his unforgettable performance in the film.
She wrote,”@dhanushkraja sir,This is literally the only picture I have with you despite of doing an entire film with you.. This is a random appreciation post for you. You’ve been an absolute gem of a person.. Thankyou so much for working so incredibly hard each and every day (only know this cz every time we talk we are in different cities, doing different things and talking about how important rest is but how we are never actually able to do anything about it..) and for giving us this kind of performance not only in Kuberaa, but in everything that you do.. it’s nothing short of incredible.”
In Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, Rashmika plays Sameera, a character who supports Deva—a beggar portrayed by Dhanush—in his mission to expose a massive scam. Dhanush’s performance has garnered widespread acclaim from critics.
Adding a light-hearted touch to her message, Rashmika also revealed that Dhanush fed her plenty of ladoos on set.
Rashmika added, “You’ve been so incredibly kind, not only to me but everyone who I’ve seen you interact with.. and that I’ll remember forever the number of laddoos you’ve given me on set.. the way you’d help me with my Tamil lines everyday.. when you liked the way I’d do a scene and you’d say.. ‘that was nice..”
In response, Dhanush thanked her for the touching message and wished her continued success and positivity. He wrote, “Such a beautiful post. Thank you for being your incredible self. Keep your amazing positive energy going. More power to you.”
