Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up for another major project. The actress, who was recently seen in the Bollywood film “Cocktail 2,” will next appear in “Ranabaali” opposite Vijay Deverakonda, with the film slated for release later this year.
According to the latest industry buzz, Rashmika has also signed “Raaka,” the ambitious action entertainer starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee. Sources say she is expected to begin shooting for her portions in July.
If confirmed, “Raaka” will mark Rashmika’s third collaboration with Allu Arjun after the blockbuster successes of “Pushpa” and “Pushpa 2.”
Mounted on a massive scale, “Raaka” is one of the most expensive projects currently under production in Indian cinema. The film relies heavily on visual effects and large-scale action sequences, with Hollywood technicians and international studios reportedly handling key technical departments.
The first-look poster featuring Allu Arjun was unveiled earlier this year, and industry circles are buzzing about a possible video glimpse release in August.
Director Atlee enjoys an impressive track record, having delivered multiple blockbusters with Vijay and the record-breaking Hindi film “Jawan” starring Shah Rukh Khan. His collaboration with Allu Arjun is widely regarded as the biggest project in both their careers.
Produced by Sun Pictures, “Raaka” features Deepika Padukone as the female lead. There is also speculation that Rashmika Mandanna could be playing a character with negative shades, though the makers have not officially revealed details about her role.
